Chapters of life

Remember that very first day of kindergarten? You're 6 years old, bubbling with excitement yet nervous because you don't want to leave home, yet the excitement takes over. You can't wait to make some friends, meet your teacher, take naps, so much discovery it excites you.

Your parents walk you to the door of your classroom, you look inside and see kids laughing and playing, you smile and turn to your parents, your mom tries to smile but fails as tears fill her eyes. She's nervous to let you go, she kneels down and pulls you into her arms and squeezes the life out of you, her baby is growing up, to her it seems just like yesterday she was changing your dippers, you try to pull away, but she doesn't let go, your father keels down beside her and says it's time to let you go, eventually she does and you kiss your parents on the cheek and rush into the room.

That is the first chapter of your life, School career. You meet a group of people and instantly become best friends.

Next comes first grade, no naps, you learn to read and write your name, you remember your A,B,Cs and you learn simple addition. What's 1+1? 2 of course. You learn manners and how to be nice to people, you get a different teacher but still have your friends by your side. That is the second chapter of your life. Not to hard, still incredibly simple. Still so naive... Most of the time... There are some kids that go through so much growing up, they're shy and quiet, only have a few friends, they get bullied constantly. At the time you don't realize that they might be going through hard times at home, you don't realize that they could do something amazing in this world, you learn that it's not okay to bully, yet there are some people who do it anyway, you friends stand up for you no matter what.

Come second, Third, Fourth, Fifth grade. You've got nothing to be worried about, you're still a kid, sure you get bullied and learning is hell, but at least you have your friends. Then comes the summer before 6th grade and you promise to your friends that things won't change, they promise that you will still be friends... But that's not always true, you drift apart, you meet new people, you join clubs, get involved with sports, or music... Soon you begin to drift apart, but there are true friends that stay, friends that don't make the excuse that they don't have enough time, friends that make time for you.

As you go through middle school and High school things get a little more difficult, fights with our friends, falling in love, getting your heart broken, losing friends, making new ones, etc. Suddenly you find yourself counting down the days until graduation. Everything is happening so fast you feel like you can't keep up.

Then the day finally comes and you walk across the stage and get your diploma. You feel like things are looking up. You have no idea that this is just the beginning. You have no idea what college brings my friends.
